Швейцария арестовала залог от Украины в размере 15 миллионов евро из-за иска европейского информационного телеканала Euronews в Национальной общественной телерадиокомпании Украины. Об этом сообщает DW со ссылкой на собственные источники. В то же время в Национальной общественной телерадиокомпании Украины сообщили, что, вопреки сообщениям ряда российских СМИ, Европейский вещательный союз (EBU) не являлся инициатором блокирования средств на швейцарских счетах. По оценкам EBU, песенный конкурс в Киеве прошел успешно. Телекомпания получила соответствующее подтверждение с благодарностью от организации общественных вещателей. "Процедура наложения ареста инициирована не Европейским вещательным союзом, а третьей стороной, которую мы пытаемся установить", – говорится в сообщении. Сотрудничество с Euronews Национальная телекомпания Украины прекратила в 2014году. До этому Euronews планировал запустить вещание на украинском языке. После инициирования прекращения сотрудничества телеканал потребовал взыскать с НТКУ неустойку в размере 10,59 миллионов евро. В октябре 2016-го Хозяйственный суд Киева признал законность претензий европейской компании. НТКУ обжаловала вердикт в суде высшей инстанции, однако проиграла дело. В апреле 2017-го Киевский апелляционный хозяйственный суд оставил без изменений приговор украинского суда первой инстанции. В EBU пока не комментируют ситуацию с арестом 15 миллионов евро залога от Украины. Напомним, 22 июня Женевское управление принудительного взыскания задолженности арестовало 15 миллионов евро, которые Украина выделила в качестве гарантии для проведения Евровидения-2017 в Киеве. Это уже не первый финансовый скандал, связанный с проведением Евровидения-2017 в Украине. Поэтому, скандалы разгорелись вокруг цены красной дорожки и гонораров украинских исполнителей.

As a film critic of medium-low importance, one of my most sacred duties is participating in the Washington Area Film Critics Association (WAFCA) year-end awards extravaganza. During this hallowed time of year, I watch dozens of movies and mine my own recollection of the good, the bad, and the ugly to determine what, precisely, the best films of the year were. At the end of this grueling process—this death march through endless stacks of DVDs, searching for the rarest pearl in an ever-increasing sea of muck—we WAFCA members nominate up to five films/people in each category. The five films/people who earn the most votes in every category are then voted upon by the whole of the membership, the winners are chosen, the press release is sent out, and blessed, blessed relief descends upon us as we put the exercise to rest for 11 months.
