Третий год подряд модные показы Оксаны Караванской являются специальным событием в рамках Alfa Jazz Fest. Уже традиционно на один день в июне Митрополитские Сады Андрея Шептицкого, что на Святоюрской горе во Львове, открываются для светских гостей – по случаю показа новой коллекции дизайнера. На нынешний "Украинской Haute Couture" Оксану Караванскую вдохновила тема украинской свадьбы. Показ трех десятков эксклюзивных свадебных образов, украшенных старинной и современной вышивкой, закрывала беременна модель. И в этом был символизм всей коллекции. В тот день гости Митрополитских Садов "попробовали" изысканный коктейль из высокой моды и вокального перформанса "Свадьба – вечное цветение Земли", который построен на традиционных свадебных песнях со всей Украины, которые собрала певица, актриса и режиссер Наталья Половинка. Предыдущие два показа Оксаны Караванской в Митрополитских Садах Андрея Шептицкого поспособствовали их реставрации – сюда вернулись аристократизм и изысканность ландшафтного дизайна. В этом году fashion-история дизайнера переместилась в не задействованную ранее нижнюю часть Святоюрского парка. Соорганизатор показа – Благотворительная организация "Фонд Духовного Возрождения" УГКЦ, целью которой является развитие социальных проектов Церкви, в частности обновление Митрополитских Садов. Среди тех, кто увидел новую fashion-историю от Караванской были телеведущие Катя Осадчая и Алексей Дивеев-Церковный, певец Павел Табаков, участники вокальной формации "Пиккардийская Терция", жена мэра Львова Екатерина Кот-Садовая, дизайнер Виктория Гресь, главный герой телешоу "Холостяк" Дмитрий Черкасов и другие. As a film critic of medium-low importance, one of my most sacred duties is participating in the Washington Area Film Critics Association (WAFCA) year-end awards extravaganza. During this hallowed time of year, I watch dozens of movies and mine my own recollection of the good, the bad, and the ugly to determine what, precisely, the best films of the year were. At the end of this grueling process—this death march through endless stacks of DVDs, searching for the rarest pearl in an ever-increasing sea of muck—we WAFCA members nominate up to five films/people in each category. The five films/people who earn the most votes in every category are then voted upon by the whole of the membership, the winners are chosen, the press release is sent out, and blessed, blessed relief descends upon us as we put the exercise to rest for 11 months.
