В Швейцарии в возрасте 55 лет ушел из жизни известный российский оперный певец Дмитрий Хворостовский. Об этом сообщил известный исполнитель Дмитрий Маликов в своем Twitter. Кроме того, артист сообщил, что произошло это в Лондоне. "У меня есть информация от моей поэтессы Лилии Виноградовой, которая с ним была очень близкой и которая была там с ним. Она мне написала, что он умер в 3:36 утра по местному времени", – отметил он в комментарии информационному агентству "РИА Новости". О смерти Хворостовского рассказал и Иосиф Кобзон, хотя, как утверждает он, певец умер в Швейцарии, пишет РБК. К слову, смерть певца уже подтвердил его представитель, пишет ТАСС. "Это действительно, к сожалению, так произошло", – отметила собеседница ресурса. Также эту информацию подтвердил вице-президент 21C Media Group Шон Майкл Гросс, который был официальным представителем артиста в Лондоне. "С глубокой скорбью сообщаем, что 22 ноября в 3:20 в Лондоне не стало Дмитрия Александровича Хворостовского, всеми любимого оперного баритона, замечательного мужа, отца, сына и друга. Он умер после двух с половиной лет борьбы с тяжелой болезнью – раком мозга. Дмитрию Александровичу было всего 55. Свои последние дни он провел в окружении близких в хосписе, неподалеку от своего дома в Лондоне", – сообщил он. Дмитрий Хворостовский родился в 1962 году в Красноярске, где впоследствии закончил местные педагогическое училище и институт искусств. После завершения обучения стал солистом Красноярского государственного театра оперы и балета. Дорогу на мировую арену открыла ему награда на Международном конкурсе оперных певцов в Кардиффе в 1989 году. В последнее время он проживал в английском Лондоне. В 2015 году ему диагностировали опухоль мозга. В 2016-м он окончательно прекратил выступления на оперной сцене из-за проблем со здоровьем, правда в июне 2017 года он принял участие в австрийском фестивале Grafenegg – это был концерт "Дмитрий и его друзья". Напомним, в начале октября уже появлялась информация о смерти Дмитрия Хворостовского в следствии тяжелого недуга, однако впоследствии его жена эти слухи опровергла.

As a film critic of medium-low importance, one of my most sacred duties is participating in the Washington Area Film Critics Association (WAFCA) year-end awards extravaganza. During this hallowed time of year, I watch dozens of movies and mine my own recollection of the good, the bad, and the ugly to determine what, precisely, the best films of the year were. At the end of this grueling process—this death march through endless stacks of DVDs, searching for the rarest pearl in an ever-increasing sea of muck—we WAFCA members nominate up to five films/people in each category. The five films/people who earn the most votes in every category are then voted upon by the whole of the membership, the winners are chosen, the press release is sent out, and blessed, blessed relief descends upon us as we put the exercise to rest for 11 months.
