Американская актриса Мелисса Гилберт заявила, что режиссер Оливер Стоун домогался ее на пробах к фильму "Дорз". Об этом она рассказала в эфире радиопрграммы Энди Коэна Radio Andy. По словам актрисы, инцидент произошел в 1991 году, когда она пробовалась на роль возлюбленной музыканта Джима Моррисона, Памелы Курсон. Гилберт рассказала, что Стоун специально добавил в сценарий сцену с сексуальным содержанием. По замыслу режиссера, актриса должна была стоять на четвереньках. "Он нагнул меня и сделал больно", – поделилась воспоминаниями Гилберт. После этого актриса в слезах сбежала с кастинга и больше не пробовалась на роль в "Дорз". Роль Памелы Курсон исполнила Мег Райан. Бывшая модель Playboy Кэрри Стивенс также обвинила Стоуна в сексуальных домогательствах.  В начале октября газета The New York Times опубликовала расследование о сексуальных домогательствах продюсера Харви Вайнштейна в отношении актрис и подчиненных, которые, по данным издания, продолжались в течение нескольких десятков лет. Актрисы Анджелина Джоли, Гвинет Пэлтроу, Кара Делевинь, Азия Ардженто, Эшли Джадд, Роуз Макгоун, Люсия Столлер, Мира Сорвино, Розана Аркетт заявили о том, что знали или сами столкнулись с сексуальными домогательствами со стороны Вайнштейна. По данным CNN, число женщин, обвиняющих продюсера в домогательствах, превысило 40.  Расследования в связи с обвинениями против Вайнштейна проводит полиция в США и Великобритании. 3 ноября стало известно, что полиция Нью-Йорка готовит ордер на арест продюсера по обвинению в двойном изнасиловании. As a film critic of medium-low importance, one of my most sacred duties is participating in the Washington Area Film Critics Association (WAFCA) year-end awards extravaganza. During this hallowed time of year, I watch dozens of movies and mine my own recollection of the good, the bad, and the ugly to determine what, precisely, the best films of the year were. At the end of this grueling process—this death march through endless stacks of DVDs, searching for the rarest pearl in an ever-increasing sea of muck—we WAFCA members nominate up to five films/people in each category. The five films/people who earn the most votes in every category are then voted upon by the whole of the membership, the winners are chosen, the press release is sent out, and blessed, blessed relief descends upon us as we put the exercise to rest for 11 months.
