В Україні заборонили прокат скандального фільму "Матильда" через те, що один з учасників виробництва кіно перебуває у "чорному списку". Про це повідомив член експертної ради при Держкіно, видавець Дмитро Капранов в ефірі "Радіо Свобода". За словами Капранова, заявив, у фільмі "Матильда" взяв участь музикант, якому заборонений вїзд в Україну. Але імені він не оприлюднив. "Ось зараз ми не дозволили прокат "Матильди" за формальними критеріями. Там музикант, який там все це діло робив. Він у "чорному списку". Наші глядачі можуть запитати: "Як так, лише музикант, а ви забороняєте?". А у відповідь я можу сказати: "Ви готові купувати на базарі кавуни з нітратами? Так, там є вітаміни, але там є і нітрати. Ці люди з "чорного списку" – це нітрати, продукція, яка вважається отруйною", – пояснив Капранов. Член експертної ради при Держкіно зазначив, що мається на увазі список осіб, які становлять загрозу національній безпеці України. Зазначимо, російський історичний художній фільм-драма "Матильда" викликав бурхливу реакцію російської суспільства та церкви. У сюжеті – стосунки майбутнього імператора Миколи II і балерини Матильди Кшесінської.

As a film critic of medium-low importance, one of my most sacred duties is participating in the Washington Area Film Critics Association (WAFCA) year-end awards extravaganza. During this hallowed time of year, I watch dozens of movies and mine my own recollection of the good, the bad, and the ugly to determine what, precisely, the best films of the year were. At the end of this grueling process—this death march through endless stacks of DVDs, searching for the rarest pearl in an ever-increasing sea of muck—we WAFCA members nominate up to five films/people in each category. The five films/people who earn the most votes in every category are then voted upon by the whole of the membership, the winners are chosen, the press release is sent out, and blessed, blessed relief descends upon us as we put the exercise to rest for 11 months.
