На Донбасі, в Нідерландах та у Пеклі відбуваються події «Масари», перенесеної на сцену Старого театру у Кракові відомим українським режисером Станіславом Мойсеєвим. Прем’єра вистави за п’єсою литовського драматурга Маріуса Івашкевічуса відбудеться у суботу, 17 лютого. Спектакль представляє алюзію на, зокрема, «Фауста» Йоганна Ґете. Сюжет розгортається на Донбасі, в Нідерландах та в Пеклі. Історія починається війною в Україні. «Це текст про те, як народжується зло у людині, і як, наче вірусна хвороба, воно поширюється по світу», - сказав у середу, 14 лютого, журналістам автор п’єси «Масари» Маріус Івашкевічус. Він додав, що текст адаптований до публіки у Польщі. «Для польської сцени текст не дуже змінений», - сказав литовський драматург. Однак він вважає, що радикалізм, про який йдеться у творі, є сильнішим у Польщі, але литовці «йдуть у тому самому напрямку, що й Польща». На думку драматурга, польською проблемою є націоналізм. «Для мене, як сусіда Польщі, це має велике значення», - сказав він. Режисер додав, що під час вистави з’являться натяки на конкретні політичні ситуації, на Донбас, у глядачів виникнуть асоціації з конкретними акторами політичної сцени. Мойсеєв визнав, що він захопився текстом Івашкевічуса і спочатку думав поставити його на національній сцені Києва, однак «обставини перешкодили цьому». «Масара» - це перша вистава українського режисера Станіслава Мойсеєва, поставлена у Польщі. У розмові з журналістами він визнав, що у польському театрі є більше свободи, а робота з акторами Старого театру не була легкою, але він намагається також давати багато свободи акторам. Станіслав Мойсеєв до жовтня 2017 року був художнім директором Національного академічного драматичного театру ім. Івана Франка у Києві. Його творчий шлях у Театрі Франка у столиці України почався постановкою у 2013 році п’єси «Квітка Будяк» на підставі тексту української драматург, режисера та сценариста молодого покоління Наталії Ворожбит. As a film critic of medium-low importance, one of my most sacred duties is participating in the Washington Area Film Critics Association (WAFCA) year-end awards extravaganza. During this hallowed time of year, I watch dozens of movies and mine my own recollection of the good, the bad, and the ugly to determine what, precisely, the best films of the year were. At the end of this grueling process—this death march through endless stacks of DVDs, searching for the rarest pearl in an ever-increasing sea of muck—we WAFCA members nominate up to five films/people in each category. The five films/people who earn the most votes in every category are then voted upon by the whole of the membership, the winners are chosen, the press release is sent out, and blessed, blessed relief descends upon us as we put the exercise to rest for 11 months.
