Фінал Національного відбору на Євробачення-2018 відбудеться 24 лютого. Під час другого півфіналу відбулося жеребкування, в ході якого визначили порядок виступів усіх шістьох фіналістів. До фіналу Національноно відбіру на Євробачення 2018 від України потрапили шестеро учасників – The Erised, LAUD, VILNA, MELOVIN, TAYANNA та KADNAY. Саме ці артисти змагатимуться за право представляти Україну цьогоріч на Євробаченні-2018 у Лісабоні. За результатами жеребкування, яке відбулося 29 січня у Лісабоні, стало відомо, що учасник від України виступить у другій частині другого півфіналу, який відбудеться 10 травня. Порядок виступу учасників у фіналі Нацвідбору на Євробачення 2018 від України: 1. KADNAY 2. TAYANNA 3. The Erised 4. LAUD 5. VILNA 6. KADNAY – Beat Of The Universe (дивіться відео виступу на Нацвідборі на Євробачення 2018 від України) TAYANNA – Леля (дивіться відео виступу на Нацвідборі на Євробачення 2018 від України) The Erised – Heroes (дивіться відео виступу на Нацвідборі на Євробачення 2018 від України) LAUD – Waiting (дивіться відео виступу на Нацвідборі на Євробачення 2018 від України) VILNA – FOREST SONG (дивіться відео виступу на Нацвідборі на Євробачення 2018 від України) MELOVIN – Under The Ladder (дивіться відео виступу на Нацвідборі на Євробачення 2018 від України) Півфінал Нацвідбору складається з чотирьох або трьох турів і фінального туру з оголошенням переможця. В кожному турі беруть участь від 7 до 12 учасників, таким чином, кожен з переможців 1-го етапу може брати участь в одному турі півфіналу. Цього року у кожному півфіналі бере участь по 9 учасників. За результатами балів від суддів і глядачів до фіналу Нацвідбору пройдуть по троє учасників з кожного півфіналу. Оголошення переможців півфіналу здійснюється в день проведення того чи іншого півфіналу. Членами журі Національного відбору-2018 стали: Джамала, Андрій Данилко та Євген Філатов (The Maneken). Україну на конкурсі Євробачення представлятиме учасник фіналу, який визначається журі та глядачами відбору спільно за правилами, що будуть оголошені додатково у прямому ефірі фіналу відбору. Оголошення переможця здійснюється в прямому ефірі фіналу. Прямі ефіри Національного відбору-2018 пройдуть в лютому одночасно на телеканалах СТБ і UA: ПЕРШИЙ. Відбудеться два півфінали – 10 і 17 лютого і фінал – 24 лютого, на якому і визначиться представник України на конкурсі.

As a film critic of medium-low importance, one of my most sacred duties is participating in the Washington Area Film Critics Association (WAFCA) year-end awards extravaganza. During this hallowed time of year, I watch dozens of movies and mine my own recollection of the good, the bad, and the ugly to determine what, precisely, the best films of the year were. At the end of this grueling process—this death march through endless stacks of DVDs, searching for the rarest pearl in an ever-increasing sea of muck—we WAFCA members nominate up to five films/people in each category. The five films/people who earn the most votes in every category are then voted upon by the whole of the membership, the winners are chosen, the press release is sent out, and blessed, blessed relief descends upon us as we put the exercise to rest for 11 months.
