Известный российский певец Иосиф Кобзон, для того чтобы опровергнуть некоторые легенды и сплетни, что ходят вокруг него, прокомментировал журналистам слухи о том, что им куплено место на древнем еврейском кладбище на святой Масличной горе в Иерусалиме. На самом деле Иосиф Кобзон завещал себя похоронить рядом с матерью Идой Исаевной на Востряковском кладбище в Москве и выкупил там участок. "Это наше родовое место. Своим любимым внучкам я рассказываю об истории семьи, беру их с собой на могилу поклониться бабушкам и дедушкам", - рассказал он, передают dni.ru. Певец также рассказал, как он пришел к такому выбору. "В 1997 году скончался выдающийся конферансье, художественный руководитель Московского театра эстрады, профессор ГИТИС Борис Брунов. Я попросил у премьер-министра Черномырдина и управляющего делами президента Бородина разрешения похоронить Брунова на Новодевичьем кладбище, хотя по статусу – народный артист РСФСР – он и не тянул", – вспоминает Кобзон. Когда он приехал выбирать место под могилу, ему понравился участок на аллее, возле Улановой и Никулина. Но чиновники всех уровней категорически отказывали артисту без объяснения причины. Мол, любое другое место, но только не тут. "Я пообещал, что все равно узнаю причину отказа, чего бы мне это не стоило. И тут чиновники сдались: "Иосиф Давыдович, дело в том, что мы это место для Вас держим", - вспомнил артист. И тогда певец написал бумагу, в которой завещал себя похоронить рядом с матерью на Востряковском кладбище. Как сообщалось 16 апреля, Иосиф Кобзон был срочно госпитализирован из-за проблем с сердцем.

As a film critic of medium-low importance, one of my most sacred duties is participating in the Washington Area Film Critics Association (WAFCA) year-end awards extravaganza. During this hallowed time of year, I watch dozens of movies and mine my own recollection of the good, the bad, and the ugly to determine what, precisely, the best films of the year were.
