Львів традиційно долучився до святкування всеукраїнського Дня вишиванки. Цього дня у місті в національне вбрання одягають левів біля Ратуші, а також античних Нептуна, Адоніса та Діану у фонтанах на площі Ринок. У національному вбранні над фонтанами вони стоятимуть до пятниці. Спочатку легенька вишиванка, а поверх неї – накидка. У найближчі два дні це дрес-код для двох вартових Ратуші – левів. Вишиванку на них одягають третій рік поспіль. Цього разу для гуцульського орнаменту на полотні обрали зелений колір. Зелений колір – це символ життя. Він символізує пробудження, весну, тому до цього ми підійшли із позитивним настроєм,  – розповіла співорганізаторка заходу Ірина Курилюк. Левам у вишиванках компанію склали і львівяни, які одягнули вишиванки до церкви, на роботу чи просто на прогулянку. День вишиванки у Львові Ми вдягнули вишиванки, щоб згадати наші традиції, шанувати їх і відтворювати, щоб інші бачили наш український неповторний самобутній одяг, – сказали львів’янки Мар’яна та Даринка. Дехто стверджує, що це стан душі. "Інколи ти прокидаєшся і хочеш її вдягнути", – прокоментувала львів’янка Галина. У Львові вбрали статуї у вишиванки Святкового дрес-коду не проігнорували і депутати міської ради. У кого вишиванка, а в кого й краватка в етномотивах. Це подарунок, виріб гуцульських майстрів. Із 2013 року я працюю з дітьми, які мають особливі потреби. Це, власне, одна мама у знак вдячності подарувала мені цю краватку, – відповів начальник міського управління молоді та спорту Антон Нікулін. А депутатка Львівської міської ради Юлія Гвоздович розповіла, що їй вишиванку подарувала свекруха, як у традиціях, на весілля.

As a film critic of medium-low importance, one of my most sacred duties is participating in the Washington Area Film Critics Association (WAFCA) year-end awards extravaganza. During this hallowed time of year, I watch dozens of movies and mine my own recollection of the good, the bad, and the ugly to determine what, precisely, the best films of the year were. At the end of this grueling process—this death march through endless stacks of DVDs, searching for the rarest pearl in an ever-increasing sea of muck—we WAFCA members nominate up to five films/people in each category. The five films/people who earn the most votes in every category are then voted upon by the whole of the membership, the winners are chosen, the press release is sent out, and blessed, blessed relief descends upon us as we put the exercise to rest for 11 months.
