Во время Евровидения-2018, которое прошло в португальском Лиссабоне представитель от Украины MELOVIN общался исключительно на украинском языке, что вызвало большой резонанс. Как исполнитель рассказал в комментарии ТСН, говорить исключительно на украинском было его принципиальной позицией. "Относительно моего общения во время Евровидения исключительно на украинском языке, то, Вы знаете, в любом случае всем не угодишь. Да, была принципиальная позиция. Для меня было важно говорить именно на украинском языке в Португалии, когда представляешь свою страну", – подчеркнул представитель от Украины на Евровидении-2018. По его словам, он учился в украинской школе и с родителями очень часто общается на украинском, правда с определенными элементами суржика. "Но из-за того, что не хватает практики, общения, конечно, ты забываешь какие-то слова, а тем более, напомню, когда ты сидишь и тебя снимает очень много камер, конечно, трудно говорить на языке, которым ты не разговариваешь каждый день. Но украинский язык я знаю, и слава Богу", – добавил певец. В то же время он рассказал, что учит украинский каждый день, потому что ему "необходимо". "Мне очень хочется говорить на украинском. Я не вижу смысла брать специально репетитора. Все мы быстро учимся, впитываем как губки. Не вижу никакой проблемы. Я вообще считаю, что никто не говорит идеально на украинском языке", – добавил MELOVIN. Также Константин прокомментировал свое общение с журналистами, в том числе и из России. "Насколько я знаю, российская пресса была на голубой дорожке. Но я не помню, чтобы она вообще ставила мне хоть какие-то вопросы. Так можно сказать, что я еще половину стран игнорировал", – отметил уроженец Одессы. Напомним, финал Евровидения 2018 прошел в ночь на 13 мая в Лиссабоне (Португалия). Melovin – получил 130 баллов, заняв в таблице 17 место из 26 возможных. Всего Украина получила 119 баллов от зрителей и заняла 7 место по голосованию зрителей. Победу в конкурсе одержала представительница от Израиля Нетта Барзилай.

As a film critic of medium-low importance, one of my most sacred duties is participating in the Washington Area Film Critics Association (WAFCA) year-end awards extravaganza. During this hallowed time of year, I watch dozens of movies and mine my own recollection of the good, the bad, and the ugly to determine what, precisely, the best films of the year were. At the end of this grueling process—this death march through endless stacks of DVDs, searching for the rarest pearl in an ever-increasing sea of muck—we WAFCA members nominate up to five films/people in each category. The five films/people who earn the most votes in every category are then voted upon by the whole of the membership, the winners are chosen, the press release is sent out, and blessed, blessed relief descends upon us as we put the exercise to rest for 11 months.
