Областной академический театр не подчинился боевикам и переехал на подконтрольную Украине территорию, а уже в Северодонецке актеры начали все с нуля. И всего за несколько лет театр в изгнании стал одним из лучших в стране и активно гастролирует. На международный театральный фестиваль Мельпомена в Таврии съехались актеры из 11 стран. Но больше всего на этой сцене ожидают театр в изгнании. Луганский академический театр уже более трех лет работает в Северодонецке. Переехать на подконтрольную Украине территорию актеры решили, когда в Луганск ворвался оккупант и город начали бомбить. Спектакль луганского театра Владимир Московченко – заслуженный деятель искусств Украины. Он отдал театру 26 лет, но оставаться в таком Луганске не смог. Вокруг уже ходили люди с оружием, по другому одеты, с другим произношением и они рассматривали этот удивительный город Луганск, видно было, что это люди заезжие, – рассказал художественный руководитель Луганского областного драматического театра Владимир Московченко. Актеры ехали практически в никуда, ведь на тот момент в Северодонецке театр давно не работал. Но им помогло государство: для луганчан отстроили сооружение бывшего театра драмы. За три года старый новый театр дал 26 представлений в Северодонецке и даже успевает гастролировать. Актеры выступают и в Луганской области, но только на подконтрольной Украине территории. В таких городах, как Попасное или Меловое, где очень близко к линии разграничения, немного страшновато, но мы понимаем, что тем людям, которые там живут, это просто необходимо, – прокомментировала актриса Анастасия Одначева-Пономаренко. Критики расценивают позицию луганских актеров как подвиг. Искусствовед Светлана Максимченко отметила, что восхищается этими актерами, ведь они поехали в очень тяжелые условия и сейчас успешно работают. Каждый раз на сцену актеры выходят с верой, что обязательно будут играть в Луганске, когда он станет украинским.

As a film critic of medium-low importance, one of my most sacred duties is participating in the Washington Area Film Critics Association (WAFCA) year-end awards extravaganza. During this hallowed time of year, I watch dozens of movies and mine my own recollection of the good, the bad, and the ugly to determine what, precisely, the best films of the year were. At the end of this grueling process—this death march through endless stacks of DVDs, searching for the rarest pearl in an ever-increasing sea of muck—we WAFCA members nominate up to five films/people in each category. The five films/people who earn the most votes in every category are then voted upon by the whole of the membership, the winners are chosen, the press release is sent out, and blessed, blessed relief descends upon us as we put the exercise to rest for 11 months.
