День Києва в Україні традиційно відзначають в останні вихідні весни. Дата не закріплена остаточно, а припадає на кожну останню неділю травня. Коли будуть святкувати День Києві в 2018 році – читайте далі. Останні вихідні травня в 2018 році виявилися дуже насиченими подіями. Так, крім Дня Києва в столиці відбудеться фінал Ліги чемпіонів УЄФА, а 27 травня відзначається християнське свято Трійця, з нагоди якого понеділок, 28 травня, також буде вихідним днем. Тому заходи до Дня народження столиці розтягнуться на всі вихідні 26-28 травня. Відомо, що на святкування Дня Києва буде витрачено 2,5 мільйона гривень з міського бюджету. Ця сума стала найбільшою за останні кілька років, а отже – варто очікувати приємних сюрпризів як гостям міста, так і його жителям. Грандіозний концерт до Дня Києва відбудеться на Хрещатику  На киян і гостей міста чекає маса розваг. Футбольне свято вболівальників ЛЧ "Фестиваль чемпіонів" на Хрещатику 27 травня зміниться урочистостями з грандіозним концертом до Дня міста, де заплановано масове виконання гімну Києва, концерти духового і симфонічного оркестрів, фестиваль електронної музики і джазу. Також на відвідувачів очікує шоу маршових барабанів, DJ-сети, вокальні та танцювальні перформанси, флешмоби тощо. Початок концерту запланований на 13:00, орієнтовний час закінчення 21:00. Також в День Києва відбудеться один із наймасовіших і найяскравіших заходів – "Пробіг під каштанами". Окрім того, пройдуть фестиваль морозива, фестиваль крафтового українського пива, ярмарок народного мистецтва, велогонки тощо. Пробіг під каштанами  Загалом же святкові заходи будуть відбуватися протягом всіх вихідних і не лише в центрі міста, а в кожному районі столиці. Бажаємо провести День Києва у 2018 році незабутньо!

As a film critic of medium-low importance, one of my most sacred duties is participating in the Washington Area Film Critics Association (WAFCA) year-end awards extravaganza. During this hallowed time of year, I watch dozens of movies and mine my own recollection of the good, the bad, and the ugly to determine what, precisely, the best films of the year were. At the end of this grueling process—this death march through endless stacks of DVDs, searching for the rarest pearl in an ever-increasing sea of muck—we WAFCA members nominate up to five films/people in each category. The five films/people who earn the most votes in every category are then voted upon by the whole of the membership, the winners are chosen, the press release is sent out, and blessed, blessed relief descends upon us as we put the exercise to rest for 11 months.
