Його тіло виявили у столиці Оману Мускаті ще 20 квітня. Як пише таблоїд The Daily Mail, похорон був закритим, а поховали митця у південній частині Стокгольма на кладовищі Скугсчюркогорден, яке занесено до світової спадщини ЮНЕСКО. Нагадаємо, 20 квітня західні ЗМІ зірвала новина, що в Омані знайшли мертвим одного з найвідоміших діджеїв і музичних продюсерів Avicii. Згодом трагічну інформацію підтвердив прес-секретар знаменитості. На час смерті діджею було всього 28 років. 26 квітня cімя Avicii зробила публічну заяву щодо його смерті та натякнула на те, що музикант самовільно пішов з життя.
