Проект доступності та екологічності фестивалю Leopolis Jazz Fest реалізовано за підтримки "Програми сприяння громадській активності "Долучайся!". Підтримка ініціатив, які спрямовані на підвищення обізнаності населення стосовно питань екології та інклюзивності – мета цього проекту. Під час проведення фестивалю заплановані тренінги для персоналу та волонтерів щодо доступності фестивалю для людей з інвалідністю та екологічної свідомості. Фестиваль буде забезпечений необхідною інфраструктурою для людей з інвалідністю: окремі платформи біля сцен, пандуси, спеціальні гумові та металеві килими, доступні туалети. Для сприяння екологічної свідомості на Leopolis Jazz Fest також будуть розташовані спеціальні контейнери для сортування та переробки сміття, а для дітей буде функціонувати дитячий майданчик "Сортуємо разом" з ігровим банером, кубиками із зображенням різних видів відходів та цікаві новини та факти про сміття. Leopolis Jazz Fest – міжнародний джазовий фестиваль, який щорічно проходить в Україні (Львів) в останні вихідні червня. Щорічно фестиваль відвідує близько 100 тисяч гостей. 2016 року Leopolis Jazz Fest був визнаний поважним британським виданням The Guardian одним з найкращих джазових фестивалів Європи. Концерти транслюються на французькому телеканалі Mezzo - міжнародному путівнику з класичної музики, опери, балету, джазу та етнічної музики на телебаченні, з трьома телеканалами та 55 мільйонами передплатників у більш ніж 60 країнах світу. "Програма сприяння громадській активності "Долучайся!" фінансується Агентством США з міжнародного розвитку (USAID) та здійснюється Pact в Україні. Pact працює в Україні з 2006 року у сферах урядування, організаційного розвитку та здоров’я. Метою програми "Долучайся!" є підвищення обізнаності та рівня участі громадян у громадській діяльності на національному, регіональному та місцевому рівнях.

As a film critic of medium-low importance, one of my most sacred duties is participating in the Washington Area Film Critics Association (WAFCA) year-end awards extravaganza. During this hallowed time of year, I watch dozens of movies and mine my own recollection of the good, the bad, and the ugly to determine what, precisely, the best films of the year were. At the end of this grueling process—this death march through endless stacks of DVDs, searching for the rarest pearl in an ever-increasing sea of muck—we WAFCA members nominate up to five films/people in each category. The five films/people who earn the most votes in every category are then voted upon by the whole of the membership, the winners are chosen, the press release is sent out, and blessed, blessed relief descends upon us as we put the exercise to rest for 11 months.
