19 сентября в рамках Форума издателей во Львове глава Украинской греко-католической церкви Блаженнейший Святослав Шевчук представит книгу "Диалог лечит раны". Мероприятие состоится в актовом зале Львовского национального университета имени Ивана Франко, начало – 14:00. Добавим, что "Диалог лечит раны" – это название книги-интервью с Блаженнейшим Святославом авторства Кшиштофа Томасика. Сама же книжка посвящена 1030-й годовщине крещения Киевской Руси. Идея заключалась в том, чтобы открыть возможность для диалога между Греко-Католической Церковью в Украине и обществом в Польше. В общем поляки мало чего знают про Украину, украинцев и Греко-Католическую Церковь. Однако, эта книга не отвечает на все вопросы, но является, пожалуй, первым шагом к совместному пути братьев и сестер, принадлежащих к одной Церкви, – отмечает Блаженнейший Святослав. В то же время, подчеркивает он, сейчас немало украинцев также не знают своей истории. "На протяжении веков нам запрещали изучать собственную историю. Кроме того, украинцы мало знают о Польше, поляках и о истории Польши", – отметил глава УГКЦ. По его словам, основной месседж произведения – это приглашение слушать другого. "Диалог не означает, что я должен с другим согласиться во всем. С помощью диалога мы становимся образом Бога. Через диалог мы становимся собой. Никакой альтернативы диалогу, кроме войны и ненависти, не было. Если же диалога не будет среди политической и церковной верхушками, то люди (то есть украинцы и поляки) не смогут это принять. Однако это возможно воплотить среди молодежи", – констатирует священнослужитель. К слову, ранее Блаженнейший Святослав Шевчук подчеркивал, что УКГЦ, которую он возглавляет, положительно относится к инициативе создания единой поместной автокефальной православной церкви в Украине.

As a film critic of medium-low importance, one of my most sacred duties is participating in the Washington Area Film Critics Association (WAFCA) year-end awards extravaganza. During this hallowed time of year, I watch dozens of movies and mine my own recollection of the good, the bad, and the ugly to determine what, precisely, the best films of the year were. At the end of this grueling process—this death march through endless stacks of DVDs, searching for the rarest pearl in an ever-increasing sea of muck—we WAFCA members nominate up to five films/people in each category. The five films/people who earn the most votes in every category are then voted upon by the whole of the membership, the winners are chosen, the press release is sent out, and blessed, blessed relief descends upon us as we put the exercise to rest for 11 months.
