Секрет закалки Ани Лорак раскрыла сама в интервью, данном журналу "7 дней" еще в 2015 году, в котором призналась, что в детстве буквально прошла через ад. Родители будущей звезды развелись еще до ее рождения, мать не смогла содержать детей и отдала дочь в интернат, из которого позже забрала девочку. В седьмой класс Лорак пошла уже в обычную школу, там-то и начались тяжелые испытания. "Нельзя сказать, что она была лучше интернатовской. На самом деле, именно в обычной-то школе я столкнулась с настоящей жестокостью детей. Ведь в интернате были все равны в своей нищете. А тут рядом со мной появились дети обеспеченные, которые презирали тех, кто беднее", - рассказала певица. Она вспомнила, как представляя ее классу, классный руководитель первым делом обрисовала ситуацию: "Это Каролина, она из интерната…". "Зачем надо было упоминать интернат? Тридцать человек смерили меня холодным взглядом, облили презрением, дав понять, что я здесь - изгой. В тот момент мне хотелось одного: провалиться сквозь пол, исчезнуть. Это было испытание похлеще, чем голод…", - поделилась звезда. Ее за глаза, а часто и прямо в лицо обзывали "замарашкой", "интернатской", "селючкой". "Иду по коридору, а они: "Ты на себя в зеркало смотрела, чучело? Как можно так выйти из дома, уродина?" - поделилась певица. О дальнейшей судьбе звездной девочки стало подробно известно из откровений ее первого супруга, значительно старшего 13 летней Каролины.

As a film critic of medium-low importance, one of my most sacred duties is participating in the Washington Area Film Critics Association (WAFCA) year-end awards extravaganza. During this hallowed time of year, I watch dozens of movies and mine my own recollection of the good, the bad, and the ugly to determine what, precisely, the best films of the year were. At the end of this grueling process—this death march through endless stacks of DVDs, searching for the rarest pearl in an ever-increasing sea of muck—we WAFCA members nominate up to five films/people in each category. The five films/people who earn the most votes in every category are then voted upon by the whole of the membership, the winners are chosen, the press release is sent out, and blessed, blessed relief descends upon us as we put the exercise to rest for 11 months.
