Украинский анимационный фильмейкер Саша Даниленко презентовал свою новую видеоработу, в которой показал жуткий хоррор по мотивам песни группы DakhaBrakha. Автор отмечает, что народная песня "Монах" является веселой, однако украинские артисты из DakhaBrakha дали ей новое тревожное звучание, которое он пытался и перенести в клип. Такая коллаборация (сотрудничество) художника и украинской группы уже вторая на счету Даниленко. Свою первую работу он создал по мотивам песни "Карпатский рэп". Идею для второй экранизации песни "Монах" он вынашивал почти два года, а реализовывал – три месяца. "Для меня главной темой стало восприятие правды и лжи. Метаморфоза морали. Это история не только о монахе, а о любом человеке, на чью долю выпадают чрезмерные требования и моральные ожидания", – поделился украинский фильмейкер. Саша Даниленко представил ролик на песню "Монах" группы DakhaBrakha / 24 канал Главной темой мистического ролика является отражение нравственности и церкви. В видео можно увидеть главный символ, который сопровождает весь 5-минутный ролик: девичий венок, символизирующий вечную девичью красоту. Автор работы из Нью-Йорка добавляет, что не хочет, чтобы зрители как-то отождествляли себя с главным героем, потому что по его мнению стоит взглянуть на ситуацию с разных ракурсов. В проекте я пытался отойти от конкретной конфессии, так как подобные события могут происходить в любой канонической среде. Сами люди являются источником зла и несправедливости, а церковь – идеальной платформой реализации грехов. Это деликатная тема, как раз поэтому ее надо освещать с различных углов, – прокомментировал Саша Даниленко. Еще и не долго пришлось ждать!", "Это гениально!", "Сумасшедший клип, супер песня!!!", "Хочу караоке!".

As a film critic of medium-low importance, one of my most sacred duties is participating in the Washington Area Film Critics Association (WAFCA) year-end awards extravaganza. During this hallowed time of year, I watch dozens of movies and mine my own recollection of the good, the bad, and the ugly to determine what, precisely, the best films of the year were. At the end of this grueling process—this death march through endless stacks of DVDs, searching for the rarest pearl in an ever-increasing sea of muck—we WAFCA members nominate up to five films/people in each category. The five films/people who earn the most votes in every category are then voted upon by the whole of the membership, the winners are chosen, the press release is sent out, and blessed, blessed relief descends upon us as we put the exercise to rest for 11 months.
