Для лечения диабета второго типа можно использовать популярный овощ брокколи. Оказалось, что его компонент помогает снижать уровень сахара в крови. Исследование обнаружило, что употребление в пищу брокколи в твердой форме или в форме сока помогает остановить прогрессирование диабета второго типа. Контроль этой болезни является очень сложным, но важным делом для миллионов российских диабетиков. Некоторые изменения в образе жизни, и особенно уменьшение объема веса являются очень важными для остановки прогрессирования диабета. Но в краткосрочной перспективе для многих диабетиков единственным средством являются лекарства. Популярный лекарственный препарат для снижения уровня сахара в крови метформин не может приниматься примерно 15% жертв диабета из-за его воздействия на почки. Ученые из Университета Лунда в Швеции выяснили, что на смену метформину может прийти компонент брокколи сульфорафан. Он обладает небольшим количеством побочных эффектов, его можно употреблять в качестве коктейля или напитка, у него также есть потенциал стать достаточно важным дополнением всех традиционных средств лечения диабета второго типа. Наконец, сульфорафан можно рекомендовать в качестве непременного элемента рациона для людей с преддиабетом. При этом состоянии уровень сахара в крови является повышенным, но еще недостаточно высоким для установки диагноза диабет. Существует множество мнений по поводу пользы тех или иных продуктов питания, но ученые доказали, что сульфорафан воздействует на прогрессирование достаточно тяжелой болезни, позволяя добиться впечатляющего эффекта. Данный компонент приносит существенную пользу жертвам ожирения, которые с большим трудом регулируют свой диабет.
