Стартап Hound Labs создает тестер, который сможет определить уровень марихуаны в крови человека, передает BuzzFeed News. Ранее в этом году, чтобы проверить точность своего устройства, сотрудники разместили в социальных сетях объявление и попросили друзей распространить его. Через два дня пришло столько людей, что часть пришлось попросить уйти. В другом клиническом испытании люди управляли автомобилем в состоянии наркотического опьянения — и всё это во имя науки! Все больше штатов в Америке легализируют марихуану. Из этого вытекает большая проблема — как справиться с водителями "под кайфом". Сотрудникам правоохранительных органов понадобился специальный тестер, который определяет уровень легкого наркотика в организме. Анализ мочи не сможет показать быстрого результата, и тетрагидроканнабинол (ТГК) выводится из организма около месяца.  Проблемой становится противоречие в законе между штатами. 18 штатов подписали закон о вождении автомобиля "под кайфом". Некоторые из них позволяют водителям управлять машиной с ограниченным уровнем ТГК, другие штаты вовсе запрещают управлять автомобилем после приема марихуаны. В прошлом месяце компания Hound Labs собрали 8 млн долларов от компании венчурного капитана Силиконовой Долины — Benchmark. Благодаря этой инвестиции уже к концу года тестеры поступят в правоохранительные органы и, возможно, в будущем будут доступны для работодателей, желающих провести тест на наркотики среди своих сотрудников.
