За його словами, хворий спочатку займався самолікуванням, на 7-й день тільки звернувся в лікарню. Його доставили в реанімацію, але було пізно. Чумак назвав прояви інфекційного захворювання. Основний шлях передачі хвороби - елементарний і контактний", - зазначив він. "Резервуаром" у природі цього збудника можуть бути гризуни, домашні тварини, лисиці. Лептоспіри виділяються з сечею, потрапляють на наші продукти, воду, - люди можуть захворіти під час купання або вживання такої їжі", - додав він. Зазначимо, лептоспіроз - інфекційне захворювання, інкубаційний період якого становить від 1 доби до 20. За даними ЗМІ, чоловік помер від лептоспірозу 15 серпня. Загиблому було 40 років, він проживав у Подільському районі та працював будівельником.
