"Зараз в Україні завершується сезон збору врожаю і, відповідно, всі масово спалюють опале листя, бадилля і траву, забуваючи при цьому, що дим завдає шкоди не тільки навколишньому середовищу, а й особистому здоровю", - нагадав Семерак. При цьому він навів приклад багатьох країн, де опале листя компостують та успішно використовують як добриво. "У західних країнах такого зараз уже не побачиш, хоча ті ж городні відходи можна компостувати, як це зазвичай практикують в інших країнах. Це той рівень екокультури, до якого ми повинні прагнути", - резюмував чиновник. Нагадуємо, що відповідальність за спалювання стерні, пасовищ, рослинності або її залишків та опалого листя передбачена в статті 77-1 Кодексу України про адміністративні правопорушення і становить від 170 до 340 гривень для громадян та від 850 до 1190 гривень для посадових осіб, а в межах територій та обєктів природно-заповідного фонду - від 340 до 680 гривень для громадян та від 1190 до 1700 гривень для посадових осіб.
