Новый перспективный метод лечения рака груди разработали в Израиле
Исследовательская компания из города Хайфа Pluristem therapeutics уже несколько лет занимается инновационным направлением в терапии онкологических заболеваний, особенно агрессивных форм рака. Новая методика заключается во внутримышечном введении специальных клональных культур клеток, взятых из человеческой плаценты. Результаты разработки были обнародованы в научном журнале Nature. В статье израильские ученые детально описали характер влияния экспериментального препарата на опухоли у мышей. Ученые целенаправленно вызвали агрессивную форму рака молочной железы у лабораторных животных. Важно, что она не имеет мутации BRAF и не поддается классическим методам терапии, в том числе лечению моноклональными антителами. Это форма рака груди на данный момент является самой опасной и трудно излечимой. В результате экспериментов исследователи отметили значительное замедление роста опухоли у всех подопытных мышей и полную ремиссию у 30% животных. На сегодняшний день продуктами Pluristem therapeutics уже являются десятки утвержденных и прошедших клинические испытания препаратов. В том числе в развитых странах западной Европы и США. Так, в конце 2017 года главный контролирующий орган США по надзору за фармацевтическими препаратами FDA (Food and Drug Administration) одобрил употребление одного из лекарственных средств компании для лечения тяжелых аутоиммунных заболеваний сосудов. Результаты клинических испытаний блокирования роста опухоли с помощью плацентарных биологических препаратов показали, что метод имеет большие перспективы. Кроме этого, был раскрыт механизм воздействия препарата на антигены раковых клеток. Он заключается в угнетении специального фермента, который отвечает за неконтролируемое размножение клеток в тканях и потерей ими специфических маркеров на клеточной стенке. Отчет об итогах эксперимента ученые их Хайфы предоставили в ежемесячном пресс-релизе, после чего акции компании начали активно расти на рынке. Это служит еще одним индикатором того, что намерения у производителя серьезные и далекоидущие.
