Doctors to be able to earn up to 100,000 hryvnia a month, health minister says Ukraine’s acting Health Minister Ulana Suprun voiced possible monthly earnings of primary care physicians after implementation of healthcare reform. As reported by Censor.NET, she said on air of Radio Svoboda. The acting minister commented on the healthcare reform implementation, namely the campaign dubbed a Doctor for each family. According to Suprun, more than 1,200 doctors and 200,000 health consumers have registered in the E-Health system as of April 5. [this will be done] remotely, without involving a desktop computer," Suprun said. Asked what salaries the doctors will receive, Suprun said that it is critical for a doctor to understand "how much will one be able to earn if one works harder." According to her, it is expected that a doctor having 2,000 clients will be paid 370 hryvnia for treating a half of them while treatment of the other half (children or elderly people) will generate almost four times bigger income. "Its quite a lot a doctor can earn a year," she said. "We have figured out that it could be from 10,000 to 100,000 hryvnia, depending on how many clients are taken care of per month and what kind of treatment they receive," Suprun summed up.
