И. о. министра здравоохранения Ульяна Супрун предупредила украинцев, по миру распространяется эпидемия. Как сообщает Супрун в Facebook, испуганные страшными мифами и неподтвержденными, но громкими легендами, люди ставят под сомнение факты, и давно доказанные наукой истины. "Болезнь" она назвала эпидемией недоверия науке. "Боятся, что вакцины вызывают аутизм, хотя это неправда. Люди готовы вернуть ужасные болезни в реальность 21 века, чем поверить науке и вакцинироваться. Даже то, что науке удалось преодолеть оспу, а вакцины от полиомиелита спасают жизни 400-500 тысячам детей ежегодно, не является убедительным для них", - пишет Супрун. Доверяют Google больше, чем опыту врачей, пользуются гомеопатией, отвергая медицину. Не верят в опасность климатических изменений, боятся генномодифицированных продуктов - к сожалению, примеров, как страх и недоверие фактам тормозят научный прогресс, немало. Это все мешает науке спасать планету и людей, нуждающихся в помощи. Через манипуляции, искажение информации и недоверие к научно подтвержденным фактам существует опасность, что мы разучимся различать, что является правдой, а что нет. А это очень опасно для здоровья и жизни всех нас. Есть только один путь не допустить этого - критическое мышление. "Не принимайте все как должное. Требуйте подтверждения, будьте внимательны и по мере скептиками. Обработка фактов - это то, что помогает нам выбрать верный путь и познать правду. Важные слова Нила Деграса Тайсона о науке сегодня крайне актуальны", - резюмирует Супрун.
