"Практикам "вправления вылетевших дисков" доверять не стоит", - Супрун. Руководитель Минздрава Украины Ульяна Супрун развенчала распространенный миф о том, что спинные диски могут "вылетать", а потом их можно "поставить" на место. "Возможно вы слышали о "вылетающем" или "смещенном диске в позвоночнике". И диски могут вылетать, а самое главное, можно ли их потом поставить на место? Строение нашего позвоночника полностью исключает такую возможность", - написала Супрун в Facebook. По ее словам, если вам предлагали или предлагают поставить диск на место, стоит быть осторожными, ведь диагноза "вылетающий диск" не существует. Супрун добавила, что межпозвонковые диски не просто вставлены в позвоночник, вроде шайб, они очень крепко связанные с позвоночником, фактически являются одним целым с ним, поэтому не могут просто сместиться или вылететь в процессе нашей повседневной активности. Соответственно, их нельзя вставить на место. "Хотя иногда пациенты возражают: "что же тогда щелкнуло в спине, когда мануальный терапевт вроде бы как вправлял мне диск? "На самом деле, хруст или щелчки производят межпозвонковые суставы (а в грудном отделе еще и реберно-позвоночные суставы)," –  написала Ульяна. Смещаться (мигрировать),  по ее словам, могут отдельные фрагменты внутреннего ядра диска через трещины в фиброзном кольце, которые возникают вследствие дегенеративно-дистрофических процессов, а именно грыжи дисков. В таких случаях также невозможно каким-то образом осуществить вправление этих фрагментов назад.  "Поэтому практикам "вправления вылетевших дисков" доверять не стоит," - резюмировала она. Ранее Ульяна Супрун разрушила миф о шизофрении.
