By Deniz AcikESKISEHIR, TurkeyA group of 17 participants on Wednesday received their certificates after completing hippotherapy training in Turkey’s central Eskisehir province.The program was jointly conducted by Eskisehir Health Directorate and Eskisehir Osmangazi University within the scope of Bursa-Eskisehir-Bilecik Development Agencys Technical Support Program. A group of 17 people -- including doctors and psychologists -- took 43 hours of horse care and horse riding courses and 42 hours of basic hippotherapy education in a two-month period at the Applied Education and Hippotherapy center of the Eskisehir Osmangazi University. Emine Nur Gunay and Nabi Avci -- the lawmakers of the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party from Eskisehir -- as well as the Eskisehir Osmangazi University Rector Kemal Senocak attended the certificate distribution ceremony. Avci praised the hippotherapy project and said, "The Eskisehir 2013 Turkic World Cultural Center Agency supported the hippotherapy project within the context of permanent works and this project became fruitful with the support of many institutions... This center is very important."Additionally, Gunay asserted that the center is a product of innovate perspective and added the center is second of its kind in Turkey.
