"15 серпня зафіксовано 7-й летальний випадок від ботулізму. Помер чоловік, 1976 року народження, у Харкові. Він разом із жінкою 1969 року народження в неділю вживали в’ялену рибу, придбану у продовольчому магазині. Спочатку вони лікувалися вдома, а вранці 14 серпня швидкою допомогою були доставлені до Харківської обласної клінічної лікарні у важкому стані. Хворим одразу ж були введені протиботулінічні сироватки, проте через важкий стан чоловіка не вдалося врятувати. Жінка перебуває у відділенні реанімації", - йдеться в повідомленні. Також повідомляється, що 6-й летальний випадок стався у Чернігівській області, померла жінка, 1967 року народження, яка вживала в’ялену рибу домашнього виготовлення. По допомогу звернулася лише наступного дня, була госпіталізована у важкому стані до Козелецької центральної районної лікарні, а потім перевезена до реанімації міської лікарні Чернігова. Того ж дня їй було введено протиботулінічну сироватку. На жаль, стан хворої не поліпшився, 10 серпня вона померла. Від початку 2018 року станом на 15 серпня 2018 року зареєстровано 72 випадки ботулізму, внаслідок яких постраждало 80 людей, 7 із них померли. "Центр громадського здоров’я МОЗ України вкотре наголошує на тому, що важливо відповідально ставитися до свого здоров’я і не споживати в’ялену, солону та консервовану рибу, консерви або вироби з м’яса, якщо вони не проходили термічну обробку перед вживанням", - йдеться в повідомленні відомства. Зазначимо, ботулізм - це важке харчове отруєння, зумовлене споживанням продуктів, що містять ботулотоксини. Збудник хвороби розмножується в анаеробному стані (без доступу кисню) за неправильних умов зберігання чи транспортування продуктів харчування.
