Read more: Yatseniuk executed and tortured Russian servicemen in Chechnya, - Russias investigative committee In March 2017, the Russian court accused former Prime Minister of Ukraine Arsenii Yatseniuk of committing a number of crimes in Chechnya and issued an arrest warrant. Russias Investigative Committee clamed to have evidence of former Ukrainian PM Arsenii Yatseniuk s involvement in execution and torture of Russian soldiers during war in Chechnya in 1995. Its spokeswoman said the committee had evidence that Arsenii Yatseniuk participated in at least two armed conflicts on the Minutka square in Grozny city on Dec. 31, 1994 and in February 1995, while he was also involved in torture and execution of captured Russian servicemen in the Oktyabrsky district of Grozny on Jan. 7, 1995. Yatseniuk appealed the ruling by Yessentuki court on his arrest in absentia. The appeal was rejected on Oct. 17. Yatseniuk also filed a claim to the European Court for Human Rights.
