"Its a different situation after all," the president said. He stressed that "the Turkish fighter deliberately shot down our aircraft then." "This case is rather seems to be a tragic chain of accidents because the Israeli fighter did not shoot down our aircraft," Putin said. The president added that the Russian Defense Ministry’s statement blaming Israel of the IL-20 downing in Syria was coordinated with him. On Sept. 17, Russian state news agency TASS reported that a Russian IL-20 military aircraft disappeared over the Mediterranean on Monday. TASS, citing the Russian defense ministry, said the aircraft went off the radars during an attack by four Israeli F-16 aircraft on Syrian targets in the province of Latakia, where Russia has based much of its military presence, including aircraft. The Russian military later said that the Russian maritime patrol aircraft was shot by Syrian regime anti-aircraft artillery amid the Israeli attack.Источник: https://en.censor.net.ua/n3086800
