The match on Monday night was billed as a clash of two sides that had put up an impressive performance in qualifiers for next year’s World Cup in Russia.
The Polish side went into the match missing a number of key players, including star striker Robert Lewandowski.
The game’s only goal came from Raul Jimenez in the 13th minute.
On Friday, Poland drew 0-0 with Uruguay in another friendly game after the Poles had already booked their place in the World Cup.
The Polish team was playing its friendlies against Uruguay and Mexico at a time when eight other European sides, among them Italy and Sweden, were still battling it out in the qualifying playoffs to win a ticket to Russia.
Poland are ranked sixth worldwide by footballs governing body FIFA, while Mexico are No. 16 in the FIFA table.
