"Chinese doctors and Chinese natural medicine are to help Tomek fight pain caused by spasticity," said the rider’s friend Zbigniew Fiałkowski.
Gollob, 46, a 2010 world speedway champion, damaged his spinal cord and suffered other injuries during a training lap ahead of a motocross competition in northern Poland in April. He told reporters last year that his sports career was over.
Gollob could be treated in Nanning, a city in southern China, for up to two months, Poland’s PAP news agency reported.
“His treatment documentation was sent to Nanning in December. Doctors acquainted themselves with it and said they would try to help him,” his friend Fiałkowski said.
