Competitors will set off at 9am, with the finish line at the citys landmark National Stadium.
The marathon will double up as the Polish mens championship.
The Orlen Warsaw Marathon, now in its sixth year, was last year won by Kenyan Felix Kimutai with a time of 2:10.34.
Poland’s Artur Kozłowski came third, finishing in 2:12.38 to defend his title as Polish champion.
Kimutai is competing again this year, as is Kozłowski, who told a press conference on Thursday that he was happy with his form.
Poland’s Sports Minister Witold Bańka told reporters Sunday’s competition would be a major event.
He said: “In addition to the Polish championships being part of it, this is also a ‘national running festival.’ At the starting line will be amateurs, people who are beginning their adventure with running, but also big stars.”
