Last month Polish climbers attempting to be the first to conquer K2 in winter called off the expedition, which was marked by dramatic twists and turns.
The head of the Polish Mountaineering Association, Piotr Pustelnik, said preparations would soon start for another attempt.
"It would be good if we manage to do it in the 2019/2020 season," he said.
Two climbers were injured during the recent Polish attempt to scale K2, which is located on the China-Pakistan border.
Meanwhile, four men from the expedition including Denis Urubko diverted to carry out a dangerous rescue of a French woman stranded on Nanga Parbat in northern Pakistan, the ninth-tallest mountain in the world.
After returning, Urubko broke away from the expedition and launched a failed solo attempt to conquer K2.
