The former footballer, widely recognised as one of the sport’s all-time greats, has signed a three-year contract to join the top-division Belarusian side Dynamo Brest as their new chairman, according to reports.
The job begins after the summer’s World Cup in Russia, Polands wpolityce.pl news website reported on Wednesday.
Maradona, who led Argentina to win the 1986 World Cup, previously worked in the United Arab Emirates as coach of second-division club Al-Fujairah.
The Belarusian club has shared the news on its official Twitter account.
