The camps will be held as part of the annual Gortat Camp project, which is now in its 11th year and is designed for children aged from nine to 13.
Each camp will admit about 140 children, Gortat has told public broadcaster Polish Radio.
He was speaking in Chicago, Illinois, where he received a Polish state decoration, the Officers Cross of the Order of Merit, from President Andrzej Duda at the end of last week.
Duda was in the United States to chair a UN Security Council debate and meet Polish Americans.
Gortat, who began his international career 15 years ago, has often spoken about his love for Poland and his pride of being Polish.
He organises the annual Polish Heritage Night in the United States, an event that celebrates Poland and its traditions.
