Adam Nawałka said the Polish national football squad would now focus on preparing for their next games in the tournament.
"We have to remember that we have another match in a few days, and we need to gather all the strength and bring out the maximum potential,” he told Polish public television broadcaster TVP after Polands Group H encounter with Senegal in Moscow on Tuesday.
He added: “It’s no use crying over spilled milk. We were the weaker side in this match, and the score reflects that.”
Poland next take on Colombia and Japan in the group stage of the World Cup in Russia.
Nawałkas men are scheduled to play Colombia in Kazan on Sunday and face off against Japan in Volgograd next Thursday.
The match against Senegal at Moscows Spartak stadium marked Poland’s return to World Cup action after a hiatus of 12 years.
